The new year has started, and there are a lot of new innovations and devices to look out for. What a lot of people are also wondering is: What will Apple do in 2013? We make up a nice list of releases you can expect from the guys in Cupertino. The most obvious devices will be the iPad 5, iPhone 6, and the new iPad mini 2. About all these devices there have been rumors already, so its highly possible that they’ll be released this year. We will discuss it further in this post.
Apple iPhone 6
The highly anticipated iPhone 6 will come out this year, rumors say that it will be announced on the WWDC keynote. The iPhone 6 will be running on iOS 7, which will be released before the WWDC. The iPhone will most likely contain a NFC (Near Field Communication) chip, which makes it possible to make transactions with your phone.
iPad 5
The new iPad 5 is also rumored to be released in late 2013. The tablet will have a lightning connector, and a faster processor. There are also rumors about NFC integration on this device aswell. The iPad mini will also be announced in the same keynote as this tablet, just like Apple did last year.
iPad mini 2
After the huge succes of the first iPad mini, a second one is on its way. The iPad mini 2 will contain the requested Retina display, which wasn’t on the first version of the tablet. Apple has learned from their mistake, and they will most likely include it on the next generation. An even better camera, that is able to take QR pictures, and recognize them.
Macbook Pro & iMac
There havent been a lot of rumors about a refresh of the Macbook Pro and iMac line, and its very possible that they won’t update them at all this year, as they just recently did this in late 2012.
iOS 7
iOS 7 is also coming to you in 2013, and there is a fair chance that it might be on your iPhone sooner then you think. Apple has already started testing this software version, which means that the rough updates are done. There are rumors that iOS 7 will be released in February 2013, but its more likely to be in the summer just before, or at the same time at the release of the iPhone 6.
As you can see, these possible releases are all of the devices Apple has already created. Who knows which new innovational device that we don’t know of yet they have in place for us. I’m optimistic so far, and I think 2013 will be a great year for technology lovers!
